We are Storm Spotters

All of our members have attended the National Weather Service Skywarn Spotter Training program and we are dedicated to protecting lives and property in our communities.

Skywarn was started by the National Weather Service in the early 1970s to aid forecasters in issuing severe weather alerts. In essence Spotters are the eyes of the NWS out in the field watching the weather and reporting tornadoes, hail, flooding, wind damage, and more.

Interested in becoming a Skywarn Spotter? Click here to to go the MetEd website and register for a free account. Once registered, you can search "Skywarn" to find and register for the course. This is the official course created by the National Weather Service.
